4.1. Browsing Data: Drug/Drug Class
4.1.1. Search Example - Pharmokinetics
Pharmacokinetics need to find comparative PK exposure data on intravenously-administered antirheumatic drugs in humans, in particular Orencia (Abatacept), under various disease states and with various concomitant drugs administered. Trade names may be used to search.
Limit your search to a specific package, the FDA Approval packages for example.
Search for Tmax within the FDA Approval Package for Orencia (Abatacept).
Move through the document using the Adobe hit-to-hit function, to find various studies and summaries displaying PK exposure parameter data. This is full sets of Tmax, Cmax, T1/2, AUC, Vss, Clearance, etc. data in various study groups.

4.2. Browsing Data: Adverse Effects/Toxicity
4.2.1. Search Example - Regulatory Affairs
Lexapro and Alfuzosin have a known bradycardic effect; Regulatory Affairs would like to find similar examples. Search through all PharmaPendium™ sources to find other drugs with this reported side effect.
4.3. Browsing Data: Browse by Target
The Breadcrumb line at the top of the right-side screen allows you to constantly see where you are in your research.
4.3.1. Search Example - Safety Pharmacology
Safety Pharmacology is browsing in Drug/Drug Class or Adverse Effects/Toxicity and would like to find all Preclinical, Clinical and Post-Marketing observations of gastrointestinal effects in drugs that are known to interact with the 5-HT-2 family of receptors. There is no thesaurus in this area, so browsing by Target Class is required.
By moving down to Adverse Effects/Toxicity, we may investigate the gastrointestinal effects further in Preclinical.
The results are displayed to facilitate comparison, to see which specific effects translate from Preclinical to the Clinical and from the Clinic to the general population (Post-Marketing). Just click on each tab and filter by the desired Drug, Drug Class, Species, etc. After reviewing the results, you may export the data (including Chemical Structure information) for further analysis or to share with the rest of your group. You may go deeper into the results by clicking on 'Apply Filters'.
